The Edinburgh and Lothians Real Nappy Project works with expectant and new parents in Edinburgh and the Lothians to introduce them to real nappies as an alternative to disposables.
The Project is run by Changeworks, in partnership with INCREASE (Scottish Government), the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, City of Edinburgh Council, East Lothian Council, Midlothian Council and West Lothian Council.
Parents living in Edinburgh and the Lothians are offered incentives including trial packs or lending kits. These help to introduce the nappies so that parents are able to make an informed choice when going on to purchase real nappies. The project also offers free advice in order to support parents, and runs ‘Nappuccinos’, which are drop-in sessions so people can meet other parents using real nappies.
